Due to rising concern regarding COVID-19 (Corona virus), it is with regret that we have had to introduce some new and unprecedented measures in order to minimise footfall in the surgery and thus reduce the spread of the virus to our vulnerable patients and keep our GP service operational. All our staff are working as normal.
In these unprecedented times, we appreciate your understanding and patience. We are open for business and are anxious to deal with your medical needs. Please know that the measures we have been forced to take are to allow us to tend to all our patients as safely as possible. Reception staff have been instructed to screen appointment requests to allow the doctors to triage all consultation requests. We will not see any walk in patients. See the Appointments section for more information regarding arranging a safe consultation with us.
We ask that you do not attend the surgery with any respiratory symptoms such as a cough, headcold, sinus symptoms, sore throat, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms, loss or alteration of taste or smell or have a fever. If you develop these symptoms or if you have been in contact with someone who is experiencing such symptoms, please ring us for advice.
There is no consultation fee for Corona virus related consultation.
Routine prescription requests may take a little longer but, for your convenience, we can now send them directly to your pharmacist.
We are gearing up to provide a Covid vaccination service for our patients. Initially we will be contacting our population over 70 years old, starting with 85 years and older, followed by 80-84 years and so on.
We must offer the vaccine in strict sequence as dictated by NPHET and HSE. We have no discretion to deviate from their plan. We must use the vaccine we are provided. We hope to set up an online booking portal for this vaccine and we urge everyone to avail of this free service when you are invited by text.
We wish you the very best of health. By modification of our usual patterns of behaviour we will all contribute to saving lives during this difficult time.
