The surgery phone lines are now open from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM during week days
As a result of the Covid pandemic, we have been forced to change our way of working. The doctors must now discuss almost all requests for appointment prior to booking. Often issues can be resolved by a telephone consultation. We must do this in order to reduce footfall in our building and minimise the risk of spreading Covid to other patients and our staff. If the doctor deems it necessary for you to attend the surgery, she or he will arrange this visit with you.
The doctor will triage phone calls so that urgent matters are dealt with promptly. There are, at times, large volumes of calls. We ask for your patience with this and know we will respond to you as soon as possible. This may mean a call the following day. Please keep your phone with you while waiting for your call. It may be necessary for the doctor to use their personal mobile at busy times. As a result, you may see a "no caller ID" call from your doctor.
If an appointment is arranged, we will ask you to ring us when you arrive in the car park. You will be required to wait in your vehicle and listen for your name to be called from the door. You must wear a mask on the surgery premises.
Antenatals, baby vaccines and essential blood tests for warfarin, methotrexate, prolia and lithium etc, will continue as normal. Please enquire to see whether your bloods are essential at this time. Smears are also being booked. You may wish to postpone your smear appointment until Covid prevalence in the community has fallen from recent high levels. When booking these appointments, please volunteer any information regarding any recent illness.
We ask that you do not attend the surgery with any respiratory symptoms such as a cough, headcold, sinus symptoms, sore throat, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms, loss or alteration of taste or smell or have a fever. If you develop these symptoms or if you have been in contact with someone who is experiencing such symptoms, please ring us for advice.
