Dr Deborah Gray

Dr Deborah Gray has worked as a GP in Waterford since the mid-2000s in various practices, establishing Carrigdhoun Surgery in 2014. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1983 and worked in Dublin before training and working as a GP principal in the UK.

She has extensive experience working in Waterford in various practices since 2000 as well as undertaking the role of Senior Medical Officer in Community Care 2012-2015. In this role, she was involved in the vaccination programme of newborns and the school vaccination programme.

Her special interests include women’s health, family planning including fitting IUDs, asthma and cardiovascular disease prevention.

Dr Kelly graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2014, after winning the Sheppard Prize from the Royal College of General Practitioners as an undergraduate. Upon completion of her intern training in Dublin, she was accepted onto the TCD GP scheme and trained in medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology and psychiatry.

She went on to train and work in various GP practices in Dublin and Waterford. She has completed postgraduate training in gynaecology and paediatrics.

Having lived in Canada and the UK, she has returned to work permanently in Waterford and hopes to provide care to many future generations as well as continuing to expand Carrigdhoun Surgery. Her special interests include paediatrics and women’s health.

When not in work she enjoys running and spending time with her three young daughters.

When you are booking an appointment, it is helpful to let the admin staff know the purpose of your visit so they can allow appropriate time for your consultation.
